3 window cleaning hacks

Let’s face, waking up to the view of a bright and sunny day is one of the many joys of life. However, if you’ve got a window that’s dirty and relatively unclean, then there’s every chance you’d be waking up to the sight of, well, a smudgy and dirty mess-something I’m pretty sure most of us would want to avoid.

Fortunately, you don’t have to deal with staring out of dirty windows. In fact, keeping your windows shiny and clean is a lot easier than you think it is. Trust me, I should know. Window cleaning is a regular job in our house; worse still since we have loads of them.

With some easy hacks and a few fool-proof cleaning tricks, you can, rest assured, stare out of clean and gleaming windows at all times. Here are three window cleaning hacks that I swear by. I’m sure they’ll work equally well for you too.

Swap Newspaper for Unused Coffee Filter Paper

While filter paper (unused of course) works along the same lines of newspaper (meaning it doesn’t scratch glass), it doesn’t leave behind ink marks like newspaper does. So you’re left behind with clean and gleaming as a reward for all your effort.

Make Your Own Cleaner

Yes, you heard me right. All you need to do is mix two parts of water with one part of soap oil and another part of vinegar. Try spraying (and not drenching) your windows with this mixture before wiping them with an unused filter paper and soft cloth. You’ll be amazed with the world of positive difference this simple trick can do to your otherwise dirty and unclean windows.

Make Use of a Blackboard Eraser

Head to your local craft store and pick up a new and clean blackboard eraser. Then, simply rub the eraser across all those stubborn and pesky streaks and watch them vanish in quick time. You might also want use a clean and static-free cloth to scrub away those stubborn marks. It works equally well too.

When all else fails or you just think it’s too much of an effort, you can always use a professional window cleaning service in London.
